Greetings one and all,

This community is being established for those who desire to pray for India, have a heart for India, who are Indian (living anywhere), are missionaries in India, or just want to check out what God is doing in that large region. The purpose of this community will be cultural exchange between regions of India (anything from Divali to Desi food recipes to religious/cultural study to Bollywood), understanding, keeping up with news and needs of India, and correspondences between all affiliated with India in some way.

I look forwards to seeing what God will accomplish as we all gather together with one purpose.

Hi, new member here... ^^

My roomie actually helped me become very interested in Indian films. I guess you could say we picked the bug up together. I also enjoy much of what I have learned of Indian culture and food, etc.

Does anyone know when Dhoom 2 might be available to the U.S. ?

And we love an old movie called Jyoti...lol. Anyone else seen it?

Karan Johar's Two New Films [Dec. 1st, 2004|08:17 pm]

Don't ask why I'm in a pissed off mood. (If anyone's even reading this.) Anyways, there has been some news about Karan Johar's new films.

One, being untitled right now, is supposed to be a thriller starring, Ajay Devgan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, and John Abraham. There are very few songs in the movie, seeing as it is a thriller, and all of them will be on the CD. The songs are English remixes, kind of like "Pretty Woman" in Karan Johar's big hit, Kal Ho Naa Ho. That was based off of an English song, so are the ones in the thriller. This movie isn't only being made by Dharma Productions, it is also being made by ShahRukh Khan's "Red Chillies entertainment".

Now, Karan's new movie, that people are talikng about (Meaning it hasn't been confirmed yet), is titled Kalank. Surprisingly, it will star ShahRukh Khan AND Ajay Devgan, along with Kajol. As some people know, Karan and Kajol fixed up the little problem between ShahRukh and Ajay, and Karan got them to act in this new film. I've read one article where this person said that they were surprised by this. I kind of was too.

That's the update for today, just some stuff about Karan Johar and his expected to be big hits.

I saw Veer Zaara again today!!! I am so HAPPY!!! ^_^

I have to say though, I like it better then the first time I saw it. I'm not saying I didn't like it the first time, but for some reason I was more excited and happy after I saw it the second time. O_o.

Anyways, when we were coming back from seeing it, we started listening to music. I'd have to say that my favorite songs would be Tere Liye, Do Pal, Aisa Des Hai Mera, and Lodi. To me, those are the best songs. Also, the movie has made the biggest opening of the year with almost one million dollars!!! That's even greater then Main Hoon Na and Kal Ho Naa Ho combined!!! (I think.)

Anyways, besides seeing Veer Zaara I read this one artice on the internet... ShahRukh Khan's house was robbed!!! Grrr... Whoever did that I'll hunt them down and... heh heh... never mind. ^_^

Also, besides Veer Zaara, the movie Naach was a total flunk!!! Barely anyone went to go and see it!! And the people who did said that they didn't like it very much!! As for Aitraaz, that didn't do so well either. Some people liked it, some people didn't.
